Level 3 – Working with Men who use Family Violence

This specialist training day is designed to grow your skills in working with men who use family violence. The day is interactive and practice-focused, tailored to meet the needs of practitioners engaging with users of violence. There will be practical tools and strategies for how to approach and engage someone who uses violence and maintaining dignity when working with users of violence.  

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand ways to uphold dignity and make connections with men who use violence
  • Respond to men’s use of violence using non-collusive strategies, while keeping them engaged
  • Recognise risk indicators so that the safety of ex/partners and children stays central to all interventions. 

Add these onto your Level 3 Safer System Responses Training, or book as separate sessions – 7 hours.

Prerequisite:

Level 1 Recognise Respond Refer or Level 1 - Dignity Driven Practice or relevant on-the-job knowledge or experience.
